This is a very popular polished concrete finish, and one of the hardest to achieve. We generally only recommend this finish for a newly poured concrete slab, which is poured to a high standard, with no undulations throughout the floor where the aggregate could show through.
We grind off the least amount possible, so that there is little to no stone showing through the concrete surface and then we grout the floor to fill any holes and cracks so that you get a consistent surface and then polish to your desired level of shine.
We have preferred concreters who are experienced at pouring for this finish who we can recommend, although we cannot take responsibility for their work.
